Both software players are very very versatile and will play 99% of ALL video formats providing the codec is available.

though if you are going to install either i would recommend you install it along side a codec pack

Also i am starting to agree that topics are not all that tasty they always tend to be a bit stale and such so this is why we wander off them plus it's really really hard to balance on them there really hard to, they so tiny and such but yes to keep things fresh and going stale like a topic we reinvent the topics nature periodically to encourage a new version
